Before launching Soane Materials, David was a serial entrepreneur for almost three decades. His earlier start-ups were all built on advanced materials, particularly interfacial chemistry.
His more recent start-ups have focused on sustainability and decarbonization, as exemplified by Soane Energy, Soane Mining, Carbogenesis, and Transform Materials.
Remarkable discoveries and innovative creativity have distinguished his companies; David is an inventor on over 500 U.S. and international issued patents and published applications.
Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, David was a tenured professor at the University of California Berkeley, where he also earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering.
